Bear Ausable Longbow

Brand new for 2011 is the AuSable longbow, named after the AuSable River – the home of the Grayling, Michigan Bear Archery plant. Whether canoeing or fly-fishing Fred spent many hours on the AuSable River. It is safe to say that Fred Bear probably came up with many of his brilliant ideas paddling up and down those waters.

What sets the AuSable longbow apart is its reflex/deflex design, larger sight window, full radiused grip and crowned, cut on center arrow shelf. The 64" length and bamboo core limbs make this one high performance shooting machine.

Construction:
The 2-piece riser is constructed of exotic bubinga wood and matching accent stripe. The limbs are constructed of 3 layers, the center core of bamboo is overlaid with 2 layers of clear maple creating a smooth shooting and powerful bow. The limbs are backed with high strength black fiberglass. Tips are handcrafted with layered black and white fiberglass allowing for the use of today's modern bow strings.
