Why Sticky Wax? Sticky means adhesion and when you're making Flemish strings you want your individual strands to stick together. If they don't, it's a mess. When you're twisting your bundles, Sticky Wax helps keep them tight. That's why we always recommend it as a string maker's wax.
Over the past 12 years, Sticky Wax has earned a reputation in traditional archer circles as the premier wax for string making. It used to be called 'String Maker's Wax', but that didn't tell the story up front. The main benefit is its ability to grip and hold.
Sticky Was is a proprietary blend of pure bee's wax and other all natural ingredients. It's perfect for keeping your strings in great shape too. Just rub it on then burnish it into the fibers with a piece of soft leather. It'll help your bowstrings last longer and resist fraying.
Sticky wax is compatible with all high-performance string material, Dacron, nylon, and even old fashioned linen. It comes in a 1.25 oz. soufflé cup.
